Morning went to teach a new student at Greenie's block. Wow turn out to be something bad. When i reached the doorstep, the mum said eh the agent didnt call u up and tell u that you dont need to come for replacement for the previous tutor. I was like huh. what replacement. I dont even know what is going on cause the agent did not told me anything about the previous tutor. The kid is damn hard to teach. Sort of like not willing to pay attention to what im saying and kept telling his mum that he preferred to be taught by the tutor who taught him when he was in Primary 1. I was like ok, since then you can let your mum know about it . I asked him whether he knows all the past tense and present tense. He said yes. When i tested him, i found out that he didnt know much at all. I then asked him to do comprehension. He said no. No need to do already cause i had done 100 Comprehension for both English and Chinese. I was like huh. OK FINE. show all of them to me then. He said dont know where isit. His lesson is supposed to be one and a half hours, thus it will be finishing at 11am. He told me that no should be finishing at 10.30 am. I was like NO man. Ok then your previous tutor when she taught you what time she normally finish lesson. He said 11am lo. Then 11am i need to go to school already. I was like cant be cause u still need to take your lunch what. He said ya, after taking my lunch then i go school lo. I then said that is not 11am already, is 11plus.. OK.. He then shut up. Problematic kid MAN..

After lesson, i then talk to the mum about his foundation and so on. I asked the mum did the previous tutor explained. His mum said is like nothing went into his brain. I was like well its pretty true. Quite hard to grab his attention. Just that need to be alittle strict. I was like if i will to be strict, i will go haywire and scream at him. Thats what i did last time when im out of control. Another thing, i found out, is that his previous tutor didnt go through his mistakes he had made. When i asked him to do correction he said cannot. I was like this is your home tuition assignment who say i cannot ask you to do correction. If you never do how will you going to learn? HE then shut his mouth.. ARHHHH!!! *headache*
Back home, i called up the agent and asked her what is going on with the previous tutor. Well the prob is that the previous tutor did not want to teach him anymore thus the agent asked me to teach him instead. I was like then the agent should have told the mum about it as the mum did not know that the tutor wanted to stop teaching in the sense and she thought that im coming for replacement. HELL MAN!!! argh!! so much problem and i only being paid for 120 bucks. SHIT MONEY.. primary 2 rate should be 140-150 bucks man..
Next slot will be jethro. Hmmmm enjoyed teaching him eventually. When i reached his place, his guardian asked me to help Darryl out regarding his homework as he need to draw and write out the hanyu pinyin. There is a picture which he drew a flower and the hanyu pinyin he wrote "mei ju". I then asked him darryl what is mei ju means? what are u trying to write? He said dont know i copy from the teacher. He then called his mum and said mum teacher teach me the wrong thing. I was like arh? I then said is the picture a flower? He said ya. I then said so it should be "mei hua" isnt it? he said ya ya.. its hua. I was like hua? hanyu pinyin is what? he said dont know. Jethro then added he got alot of hanyu pinyin dont know how to read and write. I was like yes its true. But i teach and teach, he is not really willing to listen as he is rather playful. Jethro then added, i think all the pictures you drew, your teacher see already also scare. * I then laughed loudly* Ha ..He then told me that his chinese teacher said that his chinese improved alot and is very good already always get A or A+.. Once i heard that, i was YIPPY MAN!! from fail to A.. HAppy LAppy!!!
Today is Jethro's payment day, his guardian then asked me you never increase price one ah? I was like ya of cause i wanna increase but im afraid that some parents do not want as in once i increase they will say its too expensive and dont want to continue anymore. She then added you wanna increase just go ahead like its ok . I was like ok then. In my mind i was thinking, should i increase to 130 or 140 cause its like im only teaching him one subject. Thus, after lesson, i asked her, how much is the english tutor charging you all? She replied:" 300 bucks!!" I was like ok 300 bucks for 2 boys. She said no is 300 bucks each. I was like huh.. HELL MAN!!! cheater. English and MAth, for 300 bucks and one is pri 1 another is pri 2. WOO>. this is easy money man. Which means she charged by subject. I then told her, do you know that 300 bucks is equivalent to a secondary school rate. my goodness!! she said dont know leh the price is given my the agent and the teacher increase them 50 bucks each. I was like huh!! DUBER DUBER EX .. Even though they are indo ppl, wanna eat their money also not like that eat neh!! ITS NOT THE MARKET RATE AT ALL. im so low morale now. I told her, do you know that for i have a pri 2 kid and im teaching for all subjects, the parents are paying me at 140 bucks!!! I was damn shocked man!!
She told me that the tutor got a job in the bank thus the timing for them is at about 8pm. At times, their lesson will end at 10pm, by then both of them are already way to their dream land. She then intended to let me teach for all subjects.I was like ok not a prob at all.
At about 9plus, she smsed me and told me that i can start teaching jethro for all subjects and about darryl she will discuss with me tomorrow. I was like ok then. I then decided to charge her for jethro, all subjects at 150 bucks. She then replied me OK! means chinese 130 bucks, english and maths at 150 bucks. I was like NO NO is all subjects at 150 bucks, if she willing to pay me more i dont mind infact...Aiyo eh !!! Cause no matther how many subjects the hours are still the same. One and a half hours, twice a week!!
She then said ok.. she will pay me at 30 bucks per lesson. so 8 lessons for 240 bucks all subjects. I was like huh.. SO MUCH?? is not a pri2 rate neh.. Well you can say im dumb or what. why not just say yes LA .. deal.. so much money.. 240 is equal to teaching 2 kids. Now 240 for one kid. GOOD DEAL YA..
But like abit not so good right??
So i said why not we discuss about it tomorrow then. She then said ok!!
I was like!! im damn stupid. PPL willing to pay me so much i still go and say why so much. I was like like really ma so far out of market rate. If wanna pian ppl money also not like that pian neh.. Somemore they are indo thus they will not have any subsidise from the gov!!!
