This noon went out with my student, Phyllis. We supposed to have tuition today but half way through the lesson, she threw temper and said that she's tired and didn't wanna go out. I was like "shit", because of you I didn't meet up with anyone to go out with as by the time I send her back her it's already evening. WHATEVER.. She then changed her mind, GO OUT THEN GO OUT!!!.. Damn, I didn't use gun to force you to go out with me man. Bringing you out it's EXPENSIVE. Need to treat you pizza and waste my saturday. OK FINE.. She kept telling me that her parents got no time to bring her out thus she's always feel bored at home. Now, there's someone there to bring her out she still complaint so much. At times I really got no idea what she wants. She's like a QUEEN and wants everyone to pleased her. Well, caused of this family, his dad is holding 2 jobs. As for her mum, she's pregnant, thus got not much time to bring her out. I really can't imagine what problems she will be having once her younger sibling is out as she will have even lesser attention. We only had lesson for about half an hour for today as she requested to go out earlier. Ok then, she went to tell her dad that she dont't want to have tuition anymore cause she wanna go out now. Due to no other choice, her dad just nodded his head. I then have a talk with her dad in the living room. I was telling him that she mentioned to me that the money you gave her is not enough thus she's complaining. His dad got no comment. I even told him she said that later you are bringing her to a birthday party and you gonna make red packet for the birthday girl. Due to this, you eventunally won't be giving her much cash...Well, that's what she's been grumbling about. She's really grumpy at times. Seriously speaking, I CAN'T STAND HER.. As a tutor, I really don't know how to educate her. She mature at a very young age. Now she's only in Primary 4 and she can tell me that if her dad only gives her 20 bucks, it's not enough for her. MY GOSH... I kept telling her, she's not working thus she won't know money is hard to earn and it's easy to spend. Talking about spending, everyone knows how to spend. We can simply spend a few hundreds or even 1 K in a day. But, we need a month just to earn 1K plus. Sigh!!! Ended up, her dad gave her 50bucks and guess what, she spent ALL. 10 bucks for her ezlink and the rest for her stationeries. She even wanna buy those ding ding dang dang which I hang on my hp. I then asked her, you got no hp, you buy all these for what purpose? Hang where?? On your tamagochi? It's dumb..Anyway, you don't feel like playing it anymore so what's the point? You are stil studying. I'm different from you. I'm working and I'm spending my own money and you are spending you PARENTS MONEY. Well, sigh.. No moral goes into her brain. It's take time for her to think about all these I guess as she's still young. The worse thing was that, she could even tell me that she wanna copy me thus whatever I have, she also wanna have. I was like "theeeeeeeee........" Me and you are DIFFERENT...... NO COMMENT..It's doesn't mean that what Person A have, you must have it right?? If Person A go rob bank, you follow also isit?? It's like she sees whatever cute little things I have she ALSO WANTS.. sigh!!! Not only me..Same goes to her friends. Her friend rebond her hair she also wants, her friend take neoprint she also wants, her friend got game boy she also wants.. The most shocking thing she mentioned to me was that she wanna be a tutor when she grows up, just like me... In mind my I was thinking, I'm teaching kids right now why don't you go and teach too since you love to copy me so much. ><

While she wanna turn the "ti gum" toys, she asked me to give her 3 bucks. I was like huh? I then tell her, eh!! you still have cash with you why don't you go and change them into 1 dollar coins? She then said:" OK!!" Shit.. Bring her out, endure her grumbling, treat her eat, I still need to top up alittle for her expenses? No way man. I have learnt my lesson for the past outings. Simply take me for granted. I'm just her tutor not her relatives or mum... I myself need cash too.. When I'm in need for cash who is the ONE out there to HELP ME?? EXCEPT MY PARENTS.. I see her rather poor thing as she don't have much chance to go shopping thus I bring her to enjoy alittle.

She's.. really.. argh!!!! getting on my nerves.. Kept calling me auntie.. Ask her to stop it, she still continued doing it. PISSED OFF.. She's also every "ba gua".."san ba".. Gossip and Gossip. At her age..10 years old only, start gossiping about people whom she don't know. Gosh!!!

This morning, went to teach Melvin. Well, he is kind of just recovered from sickness too. Hee.. NOT I SPREAD TO HIM.. As I was asking him to do his "hao peng you" worksheet, he didn't really wanna do it. He was happily playing with his pencils. Out of the sudden, he used his pencil and kept poking his "gu gu bird". I was like the........ What are you doing?? Poking and Poking... He said:" I want to poke and poke and poke my gu gu until i DIE!!!"

I was like -_____-. LOL!!!! He then added, "Why my friend's one red red like got blood coming out one ah ??" I was like huh... How I know.. I wondered.."And why my one not like his ah ???" I then told him different boys different what.. Hai!!! Well, he still continued poking it... Dots.. No comment. Oh ya, he even said that he knows that his "gu gu bird" is getting LONGER.. OMG!!!!!!!!!! ARGH... I remembered there's one lesson while I was teaching him, he mentioned to me that his "there" itchy. I was like ok.. He then asked me "Can I go and wash?" I said :" Go lo..." He went into the bathroom, then who knows, he came out to the living room without wearing his pants and happily shaking his butt and playing with his "gu gu bird".. Well, Not that I'm pervert or what.. It's he, whom showed it to me.. @___@ His mum was sitting in the living room too then shouted at him and asked him to go into his room quickly. He didn't obey and continued shaking.. My goodness.. No comment... Next issue I wanna said was that while I was teaching Angelo.. Michael Angelo... Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle...YOu have a hard Shell.. LOL... KK. Back to my story.. My Phone rang and it was a call from that woman living in block 5. She said that on 29th of July is her daughter's bday thus she wanna invite me as her daughter like me alot. I was like ok anything just for entertainment. She said it will be held at her house at 2pm thus no tuition on that day and will be change to Sunday instead. Then continued with lesson. After awhile, my phone rang again. It's her again, she said change venue, will be at Holland V KFC. I was like at where??? I thought no longer there already.. She said then where is the nearest?? Clementi? I was like yeah.. ended up still will be held at her place.. Yeah.. Better man.. Travel to Clementi I will be ><... After lesson with Angelo, his brother didn't kissed me this time round. He hug me and box me.. Ouch... Haha.. actually, not pain at all.. Heh.. Just playing along with him..

Feeling so glad inside. Woo.. Rodrigo had improved.. Cool. On Monday, I gave him spelling but he got zero out of five. Well, as for his situation, he is like, you learn it and after that you will forget it. This morning, went to have lesson with him, he asked me to give him spelling. I'm so surprised!!! Cool, he got 3 out of 5. Even though, he didn't get it all correct, I'm feeling contented enough. He even remember his "he is, she is, they are, we are and I am!!" Cool... I remembered I only taught him this for one lesson. I then asked him who did revision with you? He said he learned from his phonics book himself. This shows that he is willing to learn to get good grades. *wink wink*.. Really feeling so good.. Yippy.. As for Winsen, I got no comment, this evening, again he got no mood to have tuition. After his dad lectured him on Monday, he's still the same old self. I even bought him a shaker so that he will be good and do his work. So coincidence, he bought a shaker for himself too, its the same type and colour as the one I bought for him. OMG!!! He spotted me with a new mechanical pencil with pen and eraser in one, he said he wants it. I said cannot that's mine and I already bought you one. He said no I want yours, see I got both the same!! Why not I exchange with you? I was like.. HUH... I don't like to use that kind of pilot shaker.. EEEEE!!! Well, in order to make him happy and pay attention, I gave him my pencil which I only used it for less than 2 days. ><|||| Bought so much things for him, gave him break time. Sigh!! Still back to square..Still in his holiday mood I guess.. No choice..

Hee..Morning went to Mount Elizabeth with Mr Green to suck out his ear wax..Finally, it's all done.. YEAH!! Then off to taka to have lunch then off to 3th level to buy my LITTLE THOMAS TRAIN.. Yeah.. So cute.. It's kinda dumb of me cause I didn't notice the train which I bought is battery operated. LOL.. I noticed it when I was at Starbarks having a drink with Greenie. Took out the train.. eh.. can put battery inside one!!! LOL.... Whaha... So fun .. Its fun fun fun.. So cute Fun to play.. I'm crazy.. Simply crazy..

Thanks Green the Green for these Japanese Dolls.. Hee.. so adorable.. LA La La... Hmmm.. Today is my first lesson with Winsen and Cetrin. Cetrin is the eldest and Winsen is the youngest, age difference by 1 year. Overall, Cetrin is kind of lazy but kinda put in lots of effort during exams period. LOL. For Winsen, sigh!! no comment, cute with big round eyes too.. Very playful.. Lots of words don't even know how to pronounce.. Lazy... but fast in learning. Eventually, after one month break, brain becomes rusty.. His gu gu told me during the first day of school, Winsen went to school unfortunately, when it's time to go into the classroom together with other classmates, he cried. The reason he did that was he wanna go home. Thus, the form teacher called up the mum and no other choice but to bring him back home. Maybe he had phobia for school start or what..No one knows the reason. Well,when he was in K2, he was like this too.. LOL.. Their mum asked me whether I want teach a kid, Primary 2, just the next block of theirs. I was like ok why not. But what kind of timing they want?? I wondered. As in my mind, I was thinking, once I finished with Cetrin I can go over to next block to teach that kid then back to teach Winsen. Well, timing is just nice. 5 - 6.30 then 6.30 to 8 then 8 to 9.30. LOL.. Wahaha... Too bad, the kid already got himself a group tuition when the mum called up and asked... sob sob!!!! Why don't you ask earlier?? Nevermind.. It's ok.. NOTICE!!! 1. Under the CPF Education Scheme, a student is required to repay the CPF savings withdrawn including the interest that would have accrued if the withdrawal had not been made, one year from the date of completion of the course/the date he leaves the institution, whichever is the earlier. 2. Repayment may be made in one lump sum or by monthly instalments in such manner as the Board may determine. 3. Repayments to the CPF Board by monthly instalments shall be made through the GIRO system or by such other methods of payments as the Board may decide. CPF savings cannot be used for repayment. 4. Subject to the Board's approval, the minimum monthly instalments repayment rate is $100 and the maximum instalment period is 12 years. 5. Subject to the Board's approval, a student may apply to change the rate of monthly instalment repayment, subject to a minimum of $100 per course of study. 6. As interest on the outstanding loan is computed monthly and compounded yearly based on the prevailing CPF Ordinary Account interest rate until the sums due is fully repaid, students are encouraged to repay these sums as soon as possible. 7. Request to change the monthly instalment repayment rate, where submitted by the 14th of each month, will be effective from the current month if approved. This cut off date is subject to change. 8. The Board may at its discretion require the student to increase the monthly instalments repayment rate or make a lump sum repayment to ensure that repayment schedule will not exceed the 12 years repayment period. 9. The student must ensure that he has a GIRO arrangement for the repayment under the CPF Education Scheme, in order for deductions to be made. 10. The student must ensure sufficient funds in the GIRO account to cover the deductions. Some banks levy a service charge for unsuccessful deductions. Such service charges shall be payable by the student. 11. If the student defaults in the repayment of the CPF savings withdrawn and the accrued interest, legal action may be taken by the Board to enforce the repayment from the student and/or the guarantor (where applicable). 12. In such event, the student and/or the guarantor (where applicable) will be liable to pay all the legal costs and expenses on an indemnity basis including but not limited to all costs and expenses incurred in respect of the legal proceeding including any execution or enforcement proceedings taken out to enforce any judgment or court order made against the student and/or the guarantor.

So…Just What Causes Snoring, Anyway? Technically, snoring is defined as any resonant noise from the respiratory tract that emerges during sleep. Biologically, the cause of snoring is a vibration in the airway connecting the nose and the mouth; a vibration that can emerge through the mouth, the nose, or both! As you can sense, the more narrow the airway, generally speaking, the more intense the vibration; and ultimately, the louder the snore. You may also be wondering why snoring only seems to emerge at night; after all, people literally use their airway every moment of their life; so why is snoring a nocturnal dilemma? The answer to this is found in looking at the tissues within the airway. This tissue is very soft, and at night becomes relaxed; it's similar to how some muscles, like biceps, become relaxed at night since the body does not require them. As the throat (and its subsequent tissue) relaxes during sleep, the wind tunnel/airway becomes narrower and hence, snoring occurs.

Why Do Some People Snore More Loudly than Others? This, too, is the reason why some people snore more loudly than others; and why the actual tone and pitch of one snorer may be rather different than another. The actual snoring sound that emerges is dependant upon the force of wind that is being pushed through the (narrowed) airway. As you can envision, the more potent the force of wind (i.e. the faster the speed of the wind), the louder the snoring. This is also why even babies can snore; but it's often not considered snoring in the conventional sense, because an infant’s force of wind through their wind tunnel is so mild, that it can easily be ignored (though this can lead to complications; infant snoring can often be a symptom for a breathing and/or respiration problem, including allergy). However, while snoring affects people of both genders and of all ages, it typically does afflict more men than women. There are a few reasons for this.

Men Tend to Snore More than Women Surveys suggest that men snorers outnumber women snorers by a ratio of 2:1. Why is this? Overall, men's necks tend to be larger than women's necks; and thus there may be more fleshy tissue in there just waiting to combine with air flow and cause snoring. Another reason why men snore more is that women produce the hormone called progesterone, which is considered by some medical experts to be an aid in reducing or preventing snoring. In fact, there are some anti-snoring treatments that involve progesterone therapy for snoring men.

Factors that Increase and/or Cause Snoring There are several health and lifestyle factors that contribute to snoring; and this is true for both men and women, since snoring is a condition that does affect both genders. Some of the major health and lifestyle factors that can contribute to snoring include: 1) Allergies, which can clog the airway and trachea 2)Allergy medications, which can dry the nasal cavities 3) Colds and flu, which can similarly clog the airway (this is why some people experience snoring only when they're suffering a cold or flu) 4) Thickened tissues in the nasal passages, which can sometimes result from some surgeries unrelated to snoring 5) Overuse of nasal sprays which irritate the nasal passageway 6) Enlarged adenoids and/or tonsils 7) Goiter (swelling of the an ineffective thyroid gland in the neck) 8) A disproportionately large tongue that blocks airflow 9) Ineffective regulation and neural control of mucus membranes 10) Obesity and excess weight (leading to an enlarged neck and excess soft tissue in the trachea) 11) Excess gut/belly (relatively decreasing the size of the lungs) 12) Drinking alcohol**, which: sedates the throat muscles and causes them to collapse dilates blood vessels which swells up throat tissue 13) Cigarette smoking, which inflames the upper airway

The normal aging process, which can simply lead to a loss of muscle tone in the neck and thus snoring * Since relatively more men tend to experience an excess gut, this is one reason why more men tend to experience snoring than women.
